The Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) declared the results for Manipur Class 12 examinations of 2025 on April 25. This year, 94% of the students cleared the examinations, which were conducted between February 17 and March 26. 28,909 students had appeared for the examinations, out of which 27,175 students cleared the examinations. Of the successful students, 14,522 students achieved the first division, 10,905 students received the second division, and 1,723 students received the third division.

The pass rate this year is slightly down from last year’s 97.63%, but still a good result. COHSEM Chairman T. Ojit Singh accepted the slight decline but commended the smooth running of the exams and the timely announcement of the results.

In the science stream, Comet School, Imphal’s Riya Khwairakpam topped the list with 490 marks. Mediciciana Moirangthem and Silvia Lukram took the second and third spots, respectively. In the arts stream, Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School student Keisham Hannah Devi obtained 479 marks to be at the top, followed by Harsh Maidnam and Sagolsem Inunganbi in second and third spots. In commerce, all three first positions went to TG Higher Secondary School, with Warepam Lidia Devi achieving 463 marks to bag the first position, followed by Yaiphabi Sapam and Devia Mayengbam.

Girls surpassed boys once again in both government and private schools. While government schools managed a pass percentage of 89.95%, private schools recorded a better pass percentage of 95.66%.

District-wise, Pherzawl and Tengnoupal districts recorded a flawless 100% pass rate. Thoubal district recorded a pass rate of 98.88%, while the lowest pass rate was recorded by Jiribam at 77.01%.

Despite a paper leak controversy earlier this year, which resulted in five arrests by the Cyber Crime Unit, the board was able to declare the results on schedule. The timely announcement enables students to apply for higher studies without any delay.
