Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 2 Result 2025 Declared: 31.27% Students Pass, Girls Outshine Boys

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has officially declared the results for the 2nd PUC Exam 2 today, May 16, 2025. Students who appeared for the improvement examination can now access and download their results via the board’s official portal, karresults.nic.in.

The exam, conducted between April 24 and May 8, 2025, took place across 332 centres throughout Karnataka. A total of 1,94,077 students appeared for the improvement exam, with 60,692 candidates passing, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 31.27%.

Girls Outperform Boys

This year, girls have shown better performance compared to boys. Out of 69,263 female candidates, 25,197 passed, recording a pass rate of 36.38%. Meanwhile, out of 84,357 male candidates, 28,971 cleared the exam, registering a pass percentage of 34.34%.

Stream-Wise Performance

Among the different streams, Commerce students achieved the highest pass percentage:

  • Commerce: 35.74% (21,052 out of 58,903 passed)
  • Science: 35.14% (19,213 out of 54,675 passed)
  • Arts: 25.38% (20,427 out of 80,499 passed)

Revaluation and Retotalling Process

Students dissatisfied with their results can apply for revaluation. The process involves two steps: first, applying for scanned copies of the answer scripts from May 16 to 22, and then applying for revaluation or retotalling from May 21 to 25, only after receiving the scanned copies.

  • Scanned copy fee: ₹530 per subject
  • Revaluation fee: ₹1,670 per subject

Registration for Exam 3 Begins

Candidates aiming to improve their scores further can register for Exam 3 from May 16 to 26, 2025, through their respective colleges. Importantly, students do not need to wait for their revaluation results to apply.

  • First attempt fee: ₹175 per subject
  • Second attempt fee: ₹350 per subject
    The Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 3 will be held from June 9 to June 20, 2025.
