New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in the July 2025 examination soon. The highly anticipated exam, which determines eligibility for teaching positions in primary and upper primary schools, is likely to be held in the first week of July. However, CBSE has yet to confirm the exact date and time of the examination.

CTET July 2025 Application Process

Traditionally, the CTET application process begins in early March. Last year, for reference, the application window for CTET July 2024 opened on March 7 and remained open until April 4. However, this year, the application process has not yet commenced. Based on past trends, it is expected that CBSE will release the application form in the coming days.

Steps to Apply for CTET July 2025

Once the application portal is live, candidates can complete their registration by following these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official CTET website – ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link titled “Apply Online.”
  3. Fill in the required details in the online application form and note the registration number.
  4. Upload scanned copies of the latest passport-sized photograph and signature.
  5. Pay the examination fee using a debit/credit card or net banking.
  6. Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

CTET 2025 Exam Pattern

The CTET examination consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with four answer options for each question. Each correct answer carries one mark, and there will be no negative marking.

There are two papers in CTET:

  • Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach classes I to V.
  • Paper II: For candidates intending to teach classes VI to VIII.

candidates interested in teaching both levels (classes I to V and VI to VIII) must appear for both Paper I and Paper II.
