Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2025 is out! A remarkable 95.03% of students passed the TNDGE HSC +2 exams.

Today has marked an important date in the calendar year as the DGE or Directorate of Government Examinations has made an important announcement today, declaring the highly anticipated TN 12th Result 2025. This year yet again seems to be marking a record high since last year as well, 95.03% of students have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Class 12 exams and seems like continues the trend in the state.

The benefit of over 8 lakh students registering for the TN HSC +2 examinations also seems to have soared since their mark sheets will be evaluated in the region, as the examinations were scheduled from March 1 to March 22, 2025. The result was then declared at an official press meet by the Tamil Nadu School Education Department, and soon after the provided links were activated on their portal, results also went live on their official websites, tnresults. nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in, gdeg1.tn.nic.in.

  • Overall Pass Percentage: 95.03%
  • Females Dominated Repeat For The Same Reason: Females once again outperformed the male population as they continue the persistent trend in the state by achieving a higher percentage of passes than boys.
  • Best performing District: The tortured district of Tirupur seems to have secured a breakthrough by being recognized for having the highest overall pass percentage.
  • Worst Performing District: Rhani Pert seems to have overall worst performing with having the lowest pass percentage of all districts.
  • Supplementary Exams and Revaluation: The official DGE portal will soon disclose details regarding the revaluation and supplementation examinations.

Steps to View the TN 12th Result for 2025:

  1. Go to tnresults.nic.in, the official site.
  2. Particularly look for the HSE(+2) – March 2025 Results link and click on it.
  3. Provide the required details, like registration number, along with the DOB.
  4. Hit the button labeled ‘Get Marks’ to check the result.
  5. For later use, print or download the mark sheet.

Address by Education Minister:

The State Education Minister, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, has appreciated the students along with the teachers for their efforts and difficult work. He said, “The results this year are a testament to the resolve and relentless work that our teachers and students have put in, notwithstanding the challenges of the last couple of years. Our focus continues to be to enhance the quality and inclusiveness of education in our state of Tamil Nadu.”

As for students who wish to dispute their marks, make an application for re-evaluation or retotalling. Students who have not cleared the exam will be able to sit for supplementary exams, whose dates will be disclosed shortly.
